In 2013 my wife arranged three contractors to interview to build a screen room and exposed deck. Even though Steve’s quote was a bit higher than the others, we had a feeling Metro Wood Works was the best choice for us. Steve kept us updated on the start date and once they started they showed up every day until it was completed. Crew was friendly and respectful. I am an amateur woodworker so I noticed and was impressed by their attention to detail and quality. The end result was beautiful and we were quite pleased. HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART: Two years later my PVC deck boards started having some issues. So I called Steve, who remembered me and promptly came out to investigate. He also brought out a representative from the deck board manufacturer. They quickly came to the conclusion that the construction/craftsmanship was well done, however there was a defect in this particular batch of deck boards. Between the two of them they offered to totally replace the surface of my deck at no charge to me. All I wanted was a few boards replaced. Well it is now April 2015 and they just completed replacing all the boards on my deck. They did a fantastic job again. I seriously doubt the other two contractors I got bids from would have stood behind their product like this. The true measure of a company is how deal with you when things go wrong. Metro Wood Works not only does good work … Steve has integrity! Note: I am not one to who normally writes reviews or hands out compliments easily.
